Recreating pixilated images

Pixilated images are images that have been zoomed to a point that the picture is no longer clear and one can’t tell what the image is about.  Most science fiction movies use this their scene. In their control room they get a satellite image of an individual and display it in a big screen but usually not clear and there is this IT geek with glasses keys in a few keys on the keyboard and walla a clear image of the individual is seem. Goggle has now brought these to reality. By the use of deep machine learning project Google brain software is able to analyze the pixilated image and be able to recreate a better image that will be easy to use. Google Brain's software does this with two stages of neural network training. The first stage involves a "conditioning network" that cross references the 8 x 8 pixelated image with similar-looking images that are higher resolution and then downsized, checking for patterns and colors The second stage, called the "...

Weeding out fake certificate in Kenya

For long unqualified impostors have roamed the streets terrorizing and destroying what for years what we the professionals have been building in whatever industry that one is involved. They had even gone to the extreme to creating market prices for commodities that they have no clue how they operate. You may wonder as to why am ranting, this is the pain that I and many professionals out there are felling seeing some random forks taking our  piece of cake by issue of a certificate. For those who have happened to go to school. (In this article we will narrow down to technology experts) it takes and average of 3-4 years for campus. Once this is completed depending on what ever industry you go to there are a couple of systems that you have to learn how to use e.g oracle systems, Cisco equipment’s and the likes. This requires more funds and brainpower so as to acquire these hands on experience. Compare this to a  guy who runs to river road and print a couple of ce...

Death of 3D T.V.s

A few years ago 3D televisions were to take over the world. Every tech company was developing either the screens, glasses, games or movies for them.  This went on for a while until profit margins were going down the cliff thus production reduced and some company are no longer producing them. To be on the same page a 3DTV is television that conveys depth perception to the viewer by employing techniques such as stereoscopic display, multi-view display, 2D-plus-depth, or any other form of 3D display. – Wikipedia This technology had been around for years but it was around 2010 that most companies rolled out their TV sets.   We were all excited when they come out but later off this died off slowly as getting all these factors together was expensive and by extension not worth it.To fully experience the 3D reality a couple of things has to be in place. First and obviously you need to have a TV screen  that has this capabilities and tweak the setting to...

Digital life after death

Ever wonder what happens your digital life when you die? This is one of the few things that people do not take into consideration. I purely understand the pain and grief that the family and relatives go though. It would be hurting after one is laid to rest and once in a while notifications pops up to that reminds you of the deceased. Mostly by now everyone or 80% of people by now have a social media presence. We all use this to interact meet lost family members, school mates and random people who end up being friends. With this groups are created and the echo system gets bigger and bigger. When a dear one passes away their online presence is still up and running and some people may even be commenting on their profiles, send friend requests, DMs and even tag them in photos. The worst being birthday notifications. The pain can be unbearable. As some huge pieces of land and property go undeclared  same applies to the digital world lots of accounts including bank detail...

Smart Contracts

For decades contracts have been written, sighed and all parties involved felt safe until one side breaks its pledge and third parties are involved to analyze and issue penalties to the   defaulters.   Likewise other contract go through well and both parties go home a happy lot. As IT forks we were obviously created to think out of the box. Firstly our hand writing sucks and we need something that works fast with less complications and this gave birth to smart contracts. Smart contracts Basically these are contracts in a digital format meaning that its machines/bots are responsible for the approval, maintain and concluding of the contracts. Sadly enough this technology has been around since 1994 (how old were you?). A dude called Nick Szabo had this idea and till recently is when some of us are grasping the concept Now I would like to bring blockchain technology in this. By no if you have been reading most of my post you have a grasp of what blo...

ChatBots

Before we even dive to what the hell is Chabot lets recap on the source of all of these. Artificial intelligence is the birth of all of these.  This is whereby a machine is able to think and act like human. One has to learn complex programs which I will mention below to be able to write relate programs codes. This has led to the birth of several products that we do use today which include: Google alexa, siri and the amazon echo. As a user its very simple you do not need to learn all complex programs to use it. Lets say you have siri in your phone you just need to talk to it and you done. Example:”siri call James” and automatically it call him. Chatbots A Chabot (also known as a Talbot, chatterbox, Bot, chatterbox, Artificial Conversational Entity) is a computer program which conducts a conversation via auditory or textual methods This programs basically are designed to simulate human behavior and conversation pattern. This are being introduced in customer...

Digital Driving License

Now we see the light at the end of the tunnel. First we were promised digital Identification cards and as law abiding citizens we waited to no avail. They rolled the so called “new generation” identity cards that were apparently colored, looked like an ATM card and had an additional picture of the holder at the back. New generation Driving licenses Are you over 18 years and have a valid driving licenses?  If yes keep reading. If no find a driving school near you. Anyway NTSA has announced that in the next two months it will be rolling out its new smart driving license. Before I even dive into the tetchy stuff we can all agree that the red book like driving license is no fun at all? I mean whose idea was it to begin with? It’s bulky and for the older folks the books much older than them. The one thing that was taken off our shoulders is the fact that we can renew online. If you have not been e-citizen website open a new tab and have a look. One of the best government w...

KYC Technology

Recap We are going to learn what KYC technology. The main reason we are covering this is due to the fact that I have previously coved topics related to this i.e. Blockchain and finetechchallenge   and KYC fits in well. To recapitulate, Blockchain is a distributed ledger where information (assets) is time ordered and stored with digital signatures (information in a block is hashed and encrypted using private key).  The primary objective of Blockchain based applications is disintermediation – doing away with entity in the middle, thereby increasing speed to deliver, enhancing trust, achieving delivery Vs payment in all transactions, reducing cost per transaction, giving better customer experience and improved bottom line. KYC technology To begin with KYC means Know Your Customer process. KYC policies incorporating the following four key elements:   Cu stomer Policy;     Customer Identification Procedures;   Monitoring of Transaction...

Firefox O.S death

Let me start from the beginning so that no one is left out. O.S. aka operating system is a special type of software that device use to enable them run according e.g. MS windows, ubuntu android, Firefox os etc. Firefox I guess by now all of you know it’s an open source browser and am sure a bunch of you are using it right now to read this article.  Now since we are on the same boat let’s explore what happened to this baby. Firefox o.s was first realized on February 21 st 2013. Developed by Mozilla (obviously) and was coded in css, HTML4, JavaScript and c++. This designed to basically run on smartphones and tablet computers. It is based on the rendering engine of the Firefox web browser, Gecko, and on the Linux kernel. Firefox OS was designed to provide a complete community-based alternative operating system, for running web applications directly or those installed from an application marketplace. With this open web based APIs the applications can directly com...
